The complexity of shapes and diversification of materials of automotive parts have evolved remarkably. High-precision, high-efficiency machining is essential for the mass production of these parts. TEIKOKU now holds the number one spot in the made-to-order chuck market in Japan, by developing and manufacturing individually optimized chucks, based on an understanding of each user's diverse needs.
●Maintained a "customer-focused" attitude to achieve top runner status
L) In-house product design, including the new products development and the modification of existing ones
R) The final finishing is done by hand. This single step ensures high precision
When the company was founded, overseas-made chucks were the norm. The company began developing domestic production to quickly respond to on-site needs. Then, TEIKOKU started to manufacture an original power chuck that is completely different from the widely sold power chucks, and shifted to a manufacturer specializing in custom-made chucks rather than general-purpose products. These chucks were suitable for mass-produced products due to their low wear resistance. Demand for them increased with the development of the automobile industry, allowing the company to achieve steady growth.
Today, the company holds one of the largest shares of the special chuck market in Japan. Terasaka proudly said "Almost 100% of the Japanese cars are equipped with parts machined using our chucks."
●A new factory for improved productivity and reliable quality
L) New plant for more efficient machining, heat treatment, and product assembly
R) Organized factory with machines arranged by process
"TEIKOKU pursue uncompromising quality by regularly updating equipment based on accumulated experience and finishing details by hand that machines cannot do. Marketing staff frequently visit customers to listen to their requests and respond to difficult requests that others do not accept. We are proud of our unmatched technology and expertise" says Terasaka.
