Swaging is a processing method that reduces (squeezes) the diameter of pipes and wires. Compared with cutting, it has fewer processes and achieves short lead time. MORITA has been refining this swaging technology for more than 90 years, realizing swaging (drawing) of ultra-fine pipes. This Made in Japn technology is highly evaluated in various business fields and is used as medical needles and printer parts.

MORITA managed to develop stable and high quality production system to swage, polish, drill and weld with automatic machines. The pipe is made into a needle shape by swaging, and then a hole for pouring liquid is processed with special attention on sharpening because it needs to be sharp enough to penetrate medical rubber bag. The tip is only 0.1 mm thin.

Especially in the drilling process, it has independently developed an automatic 100% inspection machine and the number of defective holes is 0 in the trackrecord of 10 million or more pipes. Like MORITA's electric discharge needles, its medical needles are of high quality and are highly evaluated by medical users.
