Osaka Prefectural SME Study Association For Creative Manufacture is a group of 41 small and medium sized enterprises that endeavors to gather information concerning overseas manufacturers and to research self reliance among companies in Japan. The information accumulated by the group in exchanges with various organizations is highly useful for creating international networks.

An Osaka Manufacturing Cluster That's Developing Globally

Osaka Prefectural SME Study Association For Creative Manufacture is aimed at deepening exchanges between Osaka-based small and medium sized enterprises and overseas companies by pursuing research into overseas business situations and encouraging its member companies in their exchanges with overseas small and medium sized enterprises. In addition, we attempt to strengthen our member companies' management bases and improve their constitutions by making maximum use of opportunities for technology tieups, overseas trading, etc.

We were established in 1992 as the promotional parent body for the overseas technology exchange project of the Osaka Prefectural SME Overseas Exchange Study Association (currently, the Osaka Industrial Promotion Organization). In the present situation in which the internationalization of manufacturing is continuing to develop, we are conducting overseas research and organizing exchange meetings with overseas companies, study meetings concerning ISO, IT-related seminars, etc., as the occasion demands.

Also, with approximately 40 member companies, we function as an Osaka-based manufacturing professional cluster that provides many excellent world-beating technologies and products in fields as diverse as space technology, medical equipment, environmental technology, IT and robotics.
